BISMUTH FERRITE
Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3) is an inorganic chemical compound with a perovskite structure and an unusual compound of bismuth, iron, and oxygen (BFO). It is one of the most promising lead-free piezoelectric materials by exhibiting multiferroic properties at room temperature. Bismuth ferrite is composed of crystal planes that alternate between iron atoms and oxygen and bismuth atoms and oxygen (bismuth being a heavy metal used in medicines and cosmetics).
Commercial names/brands: Ferrite di bismuto – IN SVILUPPO
