ULTRAHIGH-ALLOYED TITANIUM CARBIDE
This metal matrix composites (MMCs) is produced using powder metallurgy technology, it has multiple-purpose applications. It is the ideal solution under demanding wear conditions resulting from abrasion, erosion, cavitation or corrosion. The hardenable and machinable hard alloys contain up to 45 volume percent of one of the hardest and most wear-resistant carbides – titanium carbide (3200 HV). This is integrated into a metallic-binder phase, which is proportionally varied according to the intended purpose. The exceptional characteristics of the composites are determined by the finely grained titanium carbides, homogenously embedded in these sintered hard alloys.
