PLASMA DLC PROCESS
It is a deposition process in which the sample is treated in a close chamber under vacuum conditions with a carbon rich ionized gas in plasma state. The gas interacts with sample surface with the deposition of a thin film of amorphous carbon. The process is performed at temperatures below 200°C and the surfaces have a typical dark color, homogeneity, good adhesion and excellent reproducibility of sample geometry.
Thicknesses up to 10 µm can be obtained, with excellent resistance to chemicals and corrosion. The coating can be deposited on steel, titanium blends, aluminum, ceramics, electrolytic chrome and or nickel.
